It's clearly a more formal, stately version of the original, smaller 'Cargo', (one of my favourites from 'By The Way').<br /><br />If that one was like a vivid glimpse, this one's like a more considered gaze. There's also something pleasingly reminiscent of a Diebenkorn 'Ocean Park' about this background.<br /><br />My only reservation at first sight was about the foreground ground plane, so it's interesting to see you've already reconsidered it yourself. It's possibly a zone of inert space that needs activating somehow? Had you considered extending the geometric shadows a little further?
